Find Help, Support, and Recovery at Club Odyssey

Club Odyssey is a young adult clubhouse that provides a community-based, non-clinical setting for promoting long-term health and wellness. In short, it’s a drug-free safe space to socialize.

Trained staff and volunteers are here to assist young people with finding needed support, as well as recovery from the many forms of addiction, including but not limited to substance misuse. Staff are available for one-on-one coaching, connecting you with community resources needed for success, and providing opportunities for young people to meet with peers their age in mutual aid group settings. The journey to finding help begins to by reaching out by phone, online message, or stopping by in person!

All programs and activities are free and open to members of the public ages 12-25, along with their family. Members are provided the opportunity to give direction to, as well as lead, scheduled events and programs. Some examples are Boardgames – Videogames – Movie Nights Podcasting – Filmmaking – Outdoor Activities – Concerts and Arts & Crafts!

Tim France

Program Manager of the Youth Clubhouses

Tim oversees FOR-DO’s youth clubhouse programs in Oneonta, the teen program for ages 12-17, and the young adult program for ages 18-25 both of which are at Club Odyssey. A Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) with the Recovery Coach Professional (RCP) designation, Tim brings a unique combination of lived experience, professional peer support expertise, leadership, and community engagement to the program.

Tim has served in multiple roles at Friends of Recovery Dedicated to Others (FOR-DO), including Program Specialist, Volunteer Coordinator, and Peer Services Coordinator. Throughout his time with the organization, he has focused on creating welcoming spaces for young people in recovery, building meaningful community connections, and developing programs that promote personal growth, wellness, and long-term recovery.

In addition to his work in the recovery field, Tim is a licensed financial planner, allowing him to bring practical life-skills education and financial wellness support into his work with young adults navigating independence and recovery. He is also operates a podcast and streaming content network focused on gaming, entertainment, and community-building. Through his media and creative experience, Tim works to help young people explore healthy hobbies, social connection, and creative expression as important parts of recovery and identity development.

Tim is passionate about building an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment at Club Odyssey where young adults can connect, discover purpose, develop confidence, and pursue recovery while having fun and building community.
